On December 2, Xinzymes signed a contract with Hubei University to establish a joint school-enterprise laboratory to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of synthetic biology and develop high-tier enzyme engineering strains. Both parties hope that through this cooperation, they will accelerate the realization of large-scale production and delivery from R&D to factories; at the same time, they will establish an efficient and integrated industry, academia and research cooperation community and establish an innovative path for the high-quality development of synthetic biology industrialization.

Deng Zixin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xie Hongxing, secretary of the CPC Committee of Hubei University, Liu Zhihong, Vice President of Hubei University, Bao Kai, chief professor of the School of Life Sciences of Hubei University, Zhao Jibin, founder and chairman of Shanghai Xinzymes Biotech Co., Ltd., Zhou Quan, chief operating officer attended the signing ceremony and visited the National Key Laboratory of Biocatalysis and Enzyme Engineering co-constructed by the Province and the Ministry.

Xinzymes was founded by Academician Deng Zixin from CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) along with distinguished entrepreneurs and scientists. R&D center is located in Shanghai and the production site is located in Fang County, Shiyan, Hubei Province. Xinzymes is dedicate to be the leader of high-tier enzyme industry. and has full set-up for enzyme business, covering research & development, production, sales, technical services and other related functions. The products and solutions are applicable for various industries, including household care, animal nutrition, food & beverage, bioenergy and other relevant application areas.

Hubei University is a provincial key comprehensive university jointly built by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, a "domestic first-class university " in Hubei Province, and a national "Midwest University Basic Capacity Building Project" university. It has a biocatalysis jointly built by the province and the ministry. Together with the National Key Laboratory of Enzyme Engineering and other scientific research centers, the school is taking "double breakthroughs in discipline construction and comprehensive strength" as its development goal, and strives to build a high-level comprehensive university that is well-known in China and has certain influence internationally.
